Arm Lift

Brachioplasty

An arm lift, or Brachioplasty. This procedure removes fat deposits and excess skin under the arms that aren't responsive to exercise. It can also tighten, lift, and smooth the skin and tissues of your arm for a more sleek and sculpted shape.

What does Arm Lift surgery consist of?

Incisions are generally placed on the inside of the arm or on the back of the arm and may extend from the armpit to just above the elbow. Excess fat may be directly excised or treated with liposuction.

Incision length and pattern during arm lift surgery depend on the amount and location of excess skin to be removed.

Depending on your specific condition, incisions may be more limited. Then, the underlying supportive tissue is tightened and reshaped with internal sutures. Finally, the skin is smoothed over the new contour of your arm.

Torsoplasty Types

Dr. Rodríguez will choose the most appropriate type of procedure. Types of Arm Lift incisions are::

Mini

The mini arm lift procedure is an appropriate option for patients with a little excess skin on their upper arms. The incision is made in the armpit area, which can be extended to a "T" shaped incision.

Regular

This type of Brachioplasty is for those patients with excess skin due to having lost large amounts of weight, among other factors. It begins in the armpit and extends along the arm until it reaches the elbow.

Extended

Usually, extended Brachioplasty extends past the elbow and also up to the armpit. Those patients who have lax skin will benefit from an extended Brachioplasty. It is similar to a standard Brachioplasty, except that the incision is extended to the chest so that loose skin can be removed.

L type

An L-shaped pattern of excision with the long limb from the elbow to the axilla and the short limb extending at right angles through the axilla and along the lateral chest.
