Back Lift

Body Lift, also known as back lift or torsoplasty. It is a series of operative procedures usually done together to improve the contour of the torso, typically female (though not exclusively). This series would include abdominoplasty with liposuction of the hips, breast augmentation, and/or breast lift and reduction. In men, this could include reducing gynecomastia by suction-assisted lipectomy, ultrasound-assisted lipectomy, or excision.

After a large weight loss, you can undergo a tummy tuck + butt lift in a single procedure. This intervention is called torsoplasty or circular body lift.

What does torsoplasty consist of?

Torsoplasty can benefit anyone, but the most common patients are those who have recently experienced significant weight loss.

The surgeon makes an incision around the contour of the body. The exact position of the incisions varies from person to person. The normal thing is that the scar runs circularly, from hip to hip.

  1. The treatment is done with sedation.
  2. The excess skin located between both incisions is eliminated.
  3. Next, the incisions are joined and stitched together.
  4. Normally, after the intervention, you will be admitted for one night.
  5. The recovery period is approximately 6 weeks.
  6. The final result is visible after one year.

Torsoplasty Types

After gathering all the information, the Body Art Surgical team will determine which procedures will be needed to achieve your optimal body shape.

Bra-line back lift.

This procedure is available for both males and females. A bra-line back lift is done to change the shape of your upper back, midback, and waist. This type of surgery creates a scar that runs along your back under your shoulder blades, about the place where the band of a bra often falls. This procedure is available for both males and females.

Vertical back lift.

It removes skin and excess fat from your back and stomach. It’s done by making incisions that run from the top of your hip bones up to your arm bones.
